Don’t you hate it When people get in your face
They act like its their job to police the human race
They say I’m havin way too many beers
I just look at them and smile
Then politely close my ears

Chorus:
Oh you know I don’t drink too much
Only til I get a buzz
In the mornin my mouth’s like fuzz
But what the Hay it’s another day
No No I don’t drink too much
Just get a teeny weeny buzz
It’s like a little honey bee
Takin me away

Some people say I’m a certified idiot
But I tell them drinking beer’s my hobby it don’t cost too much
Just a couple of loved ones, my job and even my car
But with my personality I know I will go far
At least in this bar

Chorus:

I look in the mirror the reflection’s getting older each day
But I don’t care cause we’re all gonna die anyway
Excuse me while I take a little stroll over here
All this deep talk and philosophizing
Has made me want another beer

Chorus:

Bridge:
I know what tomorrow will bring
That honey bee, she’s got quite a sting
But lucky for me I have an instant cure
A little nip or shot will help for sure

Chorus:

Tag chorus: It’s like a little honey bee taking me away, away

Description
Short Song Description:
Dark side of drinking
Long Song Description:
Uptempo song about a person in complete denial of their alcoholism
Story Behind the Song:
This is one of those rare songs that popped into my head almost completely written - words and music just showed up. I see this song as an odd juxtaposition of an upbeat melody with some very disturbing lyrics.
