Bless Each Child

Chorus:
God bless my child
So sweet and mild
God bless my child today, I pray
Keep him safe and warm
And far from harm
God bless my child today
And always
God bless my child today
There is trouble all over the world tonight
Somewhere a mother
Struggles with her fright
Holds her child to her breast
Whispers "Dear, it's alright"
God bless her child tonight
Chorus:
God bless her child
So sweet and mild
God bless her child today, I pray
Someone I do not know
Who needs my prayers so
God bless her child today
And always
God bless her child today
Chorus:
God bless them all
The weak and small
God bless each child today, I pray
We have love to spare
Let us show how much we care
God bless each child today
And always
God bless each child today

Description

Short Song Description: A love for all children
|
Story Behind the Song: "Bless Each Child" started out as lullaby for one child, then the image of other mothers in all sorts of hard circumstances grew in my mind. The plea to God and everyone who hears the song to help all children had to be included as the finale.
