One Little Spark
© 2005 Martha Ann Brooks (BMI)
Now I’ve been burned
Burned up by love gone bad until the fire’s gone out
Oh I’m colder than Alaska in December
There’s no doubt
I want to feel the flames of love full blown again
Where does a girl begin?
Chorus:
One little spark would do it
One little spark could set my heart on fire
Fill me up with warm desire
A little flame that starts out slow
Given time it just might grow
Higher and higher
And higher
A red-hot kiss
Would start me glowing like a firefly in the summertime
Just the thought makes me feel warmer all over
I need a love that’s mine
So strong it breaks like golden sunshine through the rain
Makes this cold heart light up again
(Repeat Chorus)
Bridge:
Send me someone to love
Someone who gives love and needs love
Someone who I could see as the Perfect Match, Perfect Match
(Repeat Chorus)

Description

Short Song Description: Little things that sometimes make love grow
|
Story Behind the Song: I was trying to write songs based on things I could see in the room where I was writing. The unlit fireplace jumped out at me and this song is the result of that thought. It's fun to sing and one of my favorites.
